Curious Coffee at The Padel Farm

Our fourth coffee shop. Nestled inside The Padel Farm at Sutton on the Forest, this place is nuts. When a 6th generation potato farmer faced a £6 million inheritance tax bill, it looked like the farm would need to be carved up in order to settle the bill. The farm would have then become economically unviable, so the owner took a wild gamble, turning part of his farm into a venue for a sport he'd never heard of.

The result? Indoor and outdoor padel courts, a Hyrox gym, reformer pilates studio, indoor and outdoor swimming areas, mezzanine areas with big screen sports, a creche and a smart little coffee shop. 

In the spirit of adventure, we've got a slick new menu (including our world-famous pizzas) and some big plans to play our part turning this venue into a destination.

Seriously good coffee

Every drink is made to order, pulled fresh, and served by someone who actually cares whether it's right. We serve espresso, flat whites, AeroPress, loose leaf teas, iced lattes, smoothies and milkshakes - plus a hot chocolate with all the bits, if that's your thing. Come as you are, stay as long as you like.

Our second store. Once we'd proven to ourselves that we knew what we were doing, we took a giant leap and opened another location. In contrast to Easingwold, this one is very much open plan. Just as easy going, and usually a lot busier than you'd expect for a café in the heart of a shopping centre - which tells you everything you need to know.

Proper food, made properly

Breakfast, brunch, lunch, light bites - we do it all and we do it from scratch. Think hot honey smashed avo, truffle fries with grana padano, and a chicken caesar salad that'll make you question every sad desk lunch you've ever had. There's something for everyone, including the people who insist they're "just having a coffee" and then order the bacon and sausage sandwich. You know who you are.

Oh, and every hot drink comes with a chunk of brownie. It's not optional. It's just how things work here.
